Lamp:

- Single-walled metal halide UV heater with lead and gallium additives

Features:

- Optimized spectrum for UV-A radiation
- HPM Repro lamps radiate in the diazo range
- No ozone production
- Most lamps are designed to operate at different power levels, i.e., standby, mid-power, and full power
- Horizontal burner position +/-10°

Applications:

- Contact copying processes for images from transparent films onto UV-sensitive substrates, offset plates, printed circuits, or Microfilms
- UV curing of glues, resins, and colored varnishes

Lighting:

- Measures must be taken to protect eyes and skin from UV-B and UV-C radiation, which is also present in the spectrum.
- The bulb temperature must be maintained between 750 and 950°C, with a maximum of 350°C at the pinch points; this requires forced air cooling appropriate to the power level.
